Cyclothon to celebrate International Women’s Day

Ten Rotary Clubs of Bangalore District 3190 got together on Sunday, March 7 to celebrate Gender Equality through an event in the form of a Cyclothon. The ride with over 100 cycling participants started at the Century Club and was flagged off by Pramod Despande, the well-known Chief Coach and driving force behind JJs Jayanagar Jaguars), one of the premier running Clubs of India. Our own President Vincent P. Raj along with Rtn. Ganapathy, President IFCR and Rtn. Jagadish, President Rotary E-Club of Bangalore were present at the Flag-Off. There were two categories of rides – one of 15 kms and the other of 25 kms.

Special guests – the popular RJ, Ms Vasanthi Hariprakash, and the Winner of Mrs India and Mrs Planet Earth 2019, Priyanka Abhishek –graced the occasion and were there to honour women achievers in various sports. That was a fitting culmination of a wonderful and meaningful event to mark the International Women’s Day.
