Girish joined the Rotary Club of Bangalore in 2012 and has many achievements to his credit. He was the Chair for the Fellowship Committee for 2014-15 and the Director Community Services in 2016-17 when RCB sponsored the Happy Schools. Girish was the Secretary in 2017-18 when Dist 3190 was awarded the Best Club Status.
- Girish attended Brindavan Public School in Coonoor and has a B.Com degree from the University of Madras. After graduation, he joined his father in R. Ramanathan and Son, a company that trades in construction materials.
Later Girish diversified the family business by partnering with ROCA to supply their renowned bath fittings and sanitary-ware under the name Sri Andal Co.
His interest in the construction business later motivated him to start Ishya Properties, which is one of the leading, professionally run Personal Wellness Hygiene products and hospitality enterprises in Karnataka.
Concerned with the rise in global pollution, Girish started Version 2 Healthcare India Private Limited, a wellness company that uses cutting-edge technology to innovate and promote its line of products.
Girish has also served as the Chairman for Round Table International Asia Pacific, before which he was the Treasurer for Round Table International. Earlier he was the National President for Round Table India. During his tenure, he started Round Table Clubs in Bangladesh, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Philippines as well as ten new Round Table Clubs.
Girish is married to Priya a homemaker and Professor in Kundalini and Kayakalpa Yoga. His son Vedanth is a PHF.
