Kalyani Talukder joined Rotary Club of Bangalore in the year 2016 and has Chaired and Co-Chaired International Committee, Fellowship Committee and Vocational Services.
She did her schooling in different parts of the country and graduated from Calcutta University. Did Child Development from the USA, Nursery Teachers’ Training and Special Education from Bangalore.
She has been teaching since 1992 in Primary and Junior schools in mainstream and Special need integrated schools in the USA, Mumbai and Bangalore. At present a Special Educator in Vathsalya HAL School for Special Education.
She has volunteered her service at Cheshire Home, Manipal Hospital (Children’s ward for the terminally ill) and Central Jail for counselling the Bangladeshi inmates.
Loves to travel, enjoys music (vocal and instrumental) and a foodie too. She also enjoys movies and painting.
She is married to Dr. Asoke Talukder, PhD in Computer Science is an educationalist, author, entrepreneur and working in the field of Artificial Intelligence. Her daughter Debi Talukder is PhD in Multiculture Education from University of Washington, Seattle.
