He has held positions as co-chair and chair in Fellowship and Community Services.

He is the CEO of M/S. S.R.Gopal Rao Opticians established in 1936 and the fourth generation in the business. A professional in optical dispensing and consultancy since the year 1980. Currently he has three outlets operating from N.R.Road, Residency Road & Jayanagar.

Hemanth is an optometrist graduated from the Minto Ophthalmic Hospital in the year 1980-82.

He is the council member for Platine Optic, a premium organization of select opticians pan -india.

A founder member of all india optical federation which has 210 members.

He is the convenor of Karnataka Optical Association.

Hemanth is also an active member in the sub-committee in the Bangalore Club.

An active snooker player and has won many tournaments in most of the social clubs in bangalore.

Hemanth’s better half is Uma, is a business manager and an avid golfer.

Blessed with two daughters Meghana and Malavika.

Meghana, Director, Business Development is married to Krishnan. Both are IIMB graduates.

Malavika is an aspiring yoga teacher and owns a company “Earth Mama” which is involved in smoothie processing.
