Bringing Digital Age to tribal pupils of BR Hills
On 7 January, RCB distributed 48 Lenovo Tabs with SIM cards to the tenth standard students of a school run by GVKK for the tribes at BR Hills. RCB has been associated with this institution, founded by Dr. H. Sudarshan, for the past 15 years, supporting them with medical facilities, an ambulance and improvements to the infrastructure. Over the last six years RCB, through its member Rtn. Ramakrishna Mudugal, has done remarkable work for this school – building toilets, providing sports and playground equipment and refurbished their auditorium.
The tablets were obtained at the cost of Rs. 5100 each through donations of generous RCBians. This is in addition to the tablets handed over to students of 9 and 10 students of our own Rotary Bangalore Vidyalaya a few weeks ago.
