Bhoomi Puja at Rayasandra Roadsign School
The foundation stone laying of Greenfield School at Rayasandra Malur was held on 8th August.
The proposed outlay for the construction of this school is 42 lakhs, and Roadsign Australia, a German textile company is contributing Rs 37 lakhs towards this construction. The school building will be constructed within four months. At present the students from the village need to travel a long distance to attend school.

The school will have classes from Class I to Class VII. Currently there are 85 students in the temporary makeshift classrooms. This school hopes to shortly increase its strength to over 100 students.
The villagers, school children and the headmaster extended a warm welcome to the Rotarians who participated in the Bhoomi Puja.
A team of Rotarians led by Rtn Sridhar Chari, Elizabeth Cherian Vineetha Chinappa, Dr Getrude D’Souza, Arjun Menda, Ranga Rao , Vincent Raj, Ramkrishna Mudgal, Naveen Sridhara, Dileep Kumar Pillai and Kirti Lokhande were joined by Block Education Officer, Mr Reddy and Mr. Das, the social worker of Malur.
This school will not only serve the needs of the Rayasandra village but also a few of the neighboring villages. After some years, we hope that this school will grow into a high school that we can all be proud of.
